See Me is making catching a bus more accessible.

Connecting See Me to the buses is currently being rolled out on the trial routes. Please be patient as the hardware is deployed and tested!

With the See Me app, you can signal a bus from your phone, requesting pick-up and set down stops from the list of available services, connecting you with the service driver.

Initially designed to provide support to people who are blind or vision impaired, See Me improves accessibility for all users of public transport. When using public transport, the app provides a notification to the passenger and direct to the driver’s dashboard to make travelling easier and to reduce the incidence of missed stops.

Current trials of the app are active in Adelaide (99A and 99C services), with more locations being added.

How it works:

• See Me displays a list of bus stops in the local area. Passengers are able to select the bus service by pick-up location, and the destination bus stop, before confirming the route in the summary screen, and the approximate wait time.

• The app then notifies the bus driver of a waiting passenger at the stop and delivers spoken, visual and haptic notifications to your phone when the bus is approaching your pick-up location.

• Once on the bus, you receive an audio, visual and haptic notification as the bus approaches your designated stop, and the driver will receive an alert when the stop is coming up.

See Me also features options to make getting onboard safer, including the request assistance option. Selecting this option signals to the driver that the passenger requires more time to board, and the driver may need to approach to be closer to the curb.

We want to make the public transport experience better for everyone, so we welcome your feedback and suggestions for additional features.

Travel independently with confidence, thanks to See Me.
